I've got no right to lay claim to her frame
She's not my possession
In what many have described as a proto-feminist statement, lead singer Justin Hawkins announces in the bridge 'I've got no right to lay claim to her fame / She's not my possession'.
Okay, no one has described this as proto-feminist, but there's still time. Although you could argue that the use of the c-word in the following line makes that less likely. In the cleaner radio edit version of the song (below), Hawkins appears to sing something along the lines of 'you caaaaaarrrr-co-nooot' in order to get around profanity laws. Clever.
