will.i.am and Britney Spears’ new collaboration was supposed to receive its official premiere on US radio station 102.7 KIIS-FM this Monday.
But fans of the Black Eyed Peas star’s brainless Europop can now listen to it two days earlier after it was leaked online today.
‘Scream and Shout’ is taken from The Voice mentor’s second solo album, ‘willpower,’ which is due out early next year after being pushed back from its original release date of September 2012.
But if this is a sign of things to come, then the ‘dope’ rapper might be advised to keep pushing it back.
There’s a couple of intriguing moments, such as Britney’s rather random English accent and the nods to her iconic ‘It’s Britney, bitch’ lyric.
But it’s hard to get too excited about its blend of tinny four-to-the-floor beats, AutoTuned melodies and yet more watered down trance-pop synths.
It’s not quite as bad as ‘My Humps,’ but it’s easily one of the laziest songs will.i.am has put his name to, which is quite the feat!
