Beyoncé will take yet another step towards world domination this summer, when she headlines the V Festival – her sole European festival appearance this year.
Kings of Leon are also set to top the two-day festival – which will take place between August 17 and 18 in Weston Park, Staffordshire and Hylands Park, Essex.
Other artists due to appear at this year’s poptastic V Festival include Emeli Sandé, The Script, Calvin Harris, Jessie J, Little Mix, Olly Murs, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and ‘The X Factor’ champion, James Arthur.
Meanwhile, Beady Eye, Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines, The Courteeners and The Fratellis are among the more guitar-based acts at this year’s bash.
V Festival will also, in the words of Prince, “party like it’s 1999”, when the apparently still relevant Stereophonics and Travis ascend the main stage.
Festival organizer, Simon Moran, said of this year’s “unmissable” line-up:
“With our line-up already boasting acts including Beyoncé, Kings Of Leon and Emeli Sandé, the 18th annual V Festival is once again set to be an unmissable weekend.”
“We have a reputation for bringing fans the best world class acts and breakthrough artists, 2013 is set to be another sensational year.”
Tickets for the V Festival will go on sale at 9am on March 1.
